Today marks the fifth International Day of Education under the theme “to invest in people, prioritize education”. This marks a very important day, because, only with inclusive and equitable quality education, can it be possible for countries worldwide to attain gender equality and end the cycle of poverty that is leaving millions of children, youth, and adults behind.
Here at EQ, we take education very seriously. These are the different ways that we not only encourage but support our team members to pursue higher learning.
- Education Assistance Program
We provide educational assistance to cover the costs of examinations for individual seminars and courses taken by staff, which are job-related and are required by the staff to effectively perform his or her work.
We also grant a maximum of (5) paid working days annually to enable their team members to prepare and sit examinations for courses attended privately.
We sponsor staff for training on topics relevant to their roles such as the ongoing company-sponsored CFI training program for some of the team members in Pakistan.
- Sabbatical leave
We have a provision for sabbatical leave which allows staff to take a break while keeping their jobs to pursue further studies.
- Scholarship Program
Lastly, we are currently working on rolling out a scholarship program that aims to provide a framework to support our team members in their professional development to gain an academic education qualification or enhance their technical skills in an area that can be utilized by the company.
