EMF Microfinance Fund provided another subordinated loan to Bank Respublika

Bank Respublika, one of the leading banks of the country supporting the real sector in Azerbaijan, continues to attract financial resources from major international organizations thanks to its successful activity.
The Bank, mediated by Enabling Qapital LTD, has signed another agreement with EMF Microfinance Fund, a European investment company, on provision of a subordinated loan to the Bank. As a result, the total amount of the loan reached $8 million.
The signing of this agreement, testifies to the successful experience of cooperation of the financial institution with the Bank of the Republic and high confidence in its long-term stability. The funds within the framework of the signed agreement will be directed to the crediting of the real sector, in particular, small and medium businesses, which is a priority for the Bank.
Over the 30 years of its successful operations, Bank Respublika has managed to win the trust of its clients and become one of the top five banks in the country. Germany’s largest financial institution, Sparkassen International Development Trust (a member of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe), is among the bank’s shareholders. The bank has one of the highest international ratings in Azerbaijan’s banking sector – B3 rating with “Positive” outlook from Moody’s agency.
