With a one-woman sewing business, income was not sufficient for Maryam from Pakistan. Through her neighbours, she heard about ASA Pakistan and took out her first loan in 2019. After that, Maryam was able to increase her product offering and now sells readymade clothes in addition to offering general sewing services. This has not only brought her financial independence, but also enables her daughter to get a proper formal education, which Maryam herself never got.
