Established in early 2020, Enabling Qapital (EQ) was born from the collective vision of impact investing pioneers. Building on our extensive microfinance expertise and a large network, we created a platform for different Impact Investing Asset Classes that seamlessly blends financial returns with tangible social impact. Our guiding principle, "Moving Money to Meaning", drives us to build a world where investments empower individuals and safeguard the planet, with a particular focus on community development and sustainability in emerging and frontier markets.

In 2025, EQ earned a place in the ImpactAssets 50, a leading industry benchmark showcasing fund managers dedicated to measurable social and environmental impact. This distinction reinforces our commitment to aligning financial returns with meaningful change across emerging and frontier markets.

Our journey began with taking leadership of the EMF Microfinance Fund. Utilizing its established legacy, we've adapted to evolving market dynamics to significantly expand the investment portfolio. Our strategic initiatives, including the launch of the Spark+ Africa Fund, have broadened our reach and impact, continually reinforcing our commitment to ‘Moving Money to Meaning’.
