- Duties of work?
Working with the team to source, underwrite and monitor investments in Africa. I will focus on companies operating in the clean cooking ecosystem (manufacturers, distributors, MFIs, and various renewable energy companies), as well as the microfinance sector more broadly.

I appreciate that EQ has a vision to grow its AUM, including though expansion to relevant, high potential sectors like clean cooking.
- What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Visiting an investee’s operations to see how the invested capital is put to work. I also love analysis and solving problems.
- What motivates you at work?
Interacting with pipeline and portfolio companies based on mutual understanding and respect. I really appreciate learning directly from the source. I also am energized by knowledge exchange with peers and colleagues.
- Do you have Family?
I have been married for 12 years and I am kept on my toes by my 8-year-old twin sons.
- What’s a favorite activity outside of work that leaves you feeling energized?
I enjoy running whenever I can. It brings clarity and peace.
