Armando's journey began with a humble start, delivering products to a local supermarket, Supermaxi. His passion for agriculture led him to work closely with Engineer Edwin Baez, focusing on improving the quality of lettuce cultivation. Initially, they planted lettuce directly in the soil. However, their drive for excellence pushed them to invest in an advanced setup, growing lettuce in white gravel.

Growing lettuce in white gravel offers several advantages. This method improves water drainage and prevents root rot, which can be a common problem in traditional soil farming. It also helps in maintaining consistent soil temperature and reduces the likelihood of pests and diseases. These benefits collectively result in higher quality and more consistent lettuce yields.

This innovative approach has set Armando apart in the region, making him the sole provider of lettuce grown in white gravel. The results have been outstanding, with the first harvest marking a significant milestone in his agricultural journey. His goal is to continue growing his business, further expanding his innovative practices.
